Optimized Tool Path: 1/2" Aluminum Regular

1/2" Diameter Aluminum Regular (3XD-5XD): 1-5/8" LOC and Below. Here are the recommended End Mills as well as Speeds and Feeds for the Optimized Tool Path (VoluMill, DynamicMill or iMachining).  Also, note that the SFM for Aluminum is 800-2,000 which is much higher RPM than most Spindles have so we assumed 12,000 RPM into the IPM Calculations, if you have more RPM Calculate the IPM to what you have (IPM=RPM x CLPT x 3):

1/2" Diameter x 1-1/2" Length of Cut x 3 Flute Hard Carbon Coated Variable Pitch End Mill for Aluminum

1/2" Diameter x 1-5/8" Length of Cut x 3 Flute Hard Carbon Coated Variable Pitch End Mill for Aluminum

*If you can have a small Corner Radius then choose the Corner Radius End Mill, it will help Tool Life but a Square Corner will work great in Aluminum as well!
